Originally this wall was solid. I cut a square opening with a dual purpose; to open up the space and build a small bar
to easier serve drinks from the kitchen into the living room. After I made the first cut I realized I needed more area
for the upper cabinets in the kitchen. I covered back 12".
On the counter I installed brown granite tiles I purchased at discount price, with a small tile border.
Finished project.
Most material I used into building this bar were leftover pieces, except for the light fixtures, corbels & rosettes.
It looks good in white but I'm leaning towards a mixture of styles; traditional, old world and tuscany.
