MAGNOLISE MICKOLA - Mickola moved with her new mom, Anita Mullins. Anita bought 23 Pomeranians from a puppy mill in northeast Texas because the owner decided to sell all of his Poms. Anita placed all of them in loving pet homes, except for a little girl, Sable.
Both bones (radius and ulna) in each of Sable's forelegs had been broken for several years (estimated 4) during the time she had been used as puppy producer. Her paws were still viable, but there was no bone connection to her leg. The left leg had formed a scar tissue pseudo-joint over time, but the right paw just flopped loose at the end of her leg. It took Anita two years to find a veterinarian willing to try to deal with bones that had been broken for that long. She finally found Dr. Franczuszki in Malvern, PA who so far performed 8 surgeries to reconstruct her legs. Her front legs are mainly plates and screws. Sable is now finally able to walk upright on all four feet but needs one more surgery. She is now 12 years old.
Anita has 30 years experience in training dogs. Nowadays she is trainer for Petco. She wanted a beautiful Papillon to be demo dog for her training sessions and to also do obedience and therapy. The icing on the cake is that Sable is in heaven to have a little sister. MICKOLA on her first car ride.
